Samsung C9000 HDTV and Touch Remote
It's quite amazing. lovin that remote.
Video Information
The Samsung C9000 Touch Remote, which comes with the new LE 9000 sets, connects over your Wi-Fi network to control the TV. The screen is vibrant and high-contrast. Use the touch remote to control programming guides and your TV via infrared. You can also take advantage of the "twin mode" using Wi-Fi so you can watch what you're TV has on screen on your remote.
The remote works over a Wi-Fi router and can pull not only the same show the consumer is watching on the screen, it can also act like a picture-in-picture window letting you see what else is playing at the moment. Since it works over IR, it can be programmed to be a universal remote for all your living room appliances. But because it also works over Wi-Fi, you can pull media off your computer using DLNA and play it on your big screen TV.
You can even browse through all your music, photos and video from another PC at home using DLNA technology. Once you've found the vacation photos from last year on the extra screen on the remote, you can "beat the air" with the remote towards the TV and the content will now be displayed full screen on your TV.

Warriors 118, Nuggets 123 (OT) – Never a Dull Moment
Blog title from Golden State of Mind Blog.
Well dubs(warriors) lost. it was such a good game though. Went to ot. We hit a couple of clutch 3s. Was alot of fun. :) First Warriors game i've been to in forever. I think the year was 1992 when i got to see the warriors vs the heat. We blew them away that game. This time it was an exciting close back and forth game. I took a couple pics and videos, though we were up pretty high. Still a ton of fun. can't wait to go to another game.

Mos Def “History”
Kweli say, "Everybody act according to the season that they born in" Some in the night, some in the morning, some at noon. Some in winter, some in June. It's all cool, it's the natural. The science is a jewel. For me and mines, yours and you.
Philosophy and The Good Life
The Good Life. A life well lived. The most desirable way to live. The concept of The Good Life and what exactly it means to life The Good Life often reflects the current worldview for each section of history examined. At the most basic you would find The Good Life is defined by each individual differently by asking questions. How we find define what gives us the most enjoyment in life. Living life to the fullest. Realizing how to reach a personal balance in your life. The search for the Good Life goes hand in hand with studying philosophy. You ask yourself the same questions about what you belief, and how you defend that belief.
While The Good Life has many definitions when we find what allows us to live the way we want, with enjoyment, in a way we feel is worth working for we are living The Good Life. These ideas depend on many different factors including how you were raised, the environment that effected you, even the time in history you are living in. For example people in the middle ages found The Good Life for them was a platonic worldview with focus on religion. While those living during renaissance found a renewed interest in the unique individual and arts.
The Good Life can give the feeling of living live the right way, the enjoyment of pursuing and achieving goals. In hedonism it involves getting as much pleasure out of life as possible. Living life only for pleasure. The argument against that by Aristotle is pleasure is not an activity, but the result or bonus from the completion of activities. So while pleasure is a important part of The Good Life it is not the good life itself. Other components of The Good Life include success, wealth and financial status as well as the feeling you get striving for success. Asceticism, finding pleasure through the simple things in life. Freedom, as in the freedom to do what one wants. Religion, a life of devotion to a god or something bigger than self. Happiness, as another term for the good life itself. A combination of components of The Good Life used for personal development.
The purpose of The Good Life is to define for yourself how to live the most desirable way. When you examine the components of The Good Life you find they are all self centered. Personal choices that for the most part decide the type of life you wish to live. Egoism the idea that everyone acts only for own self interest and advantage. At the same time acting in a way that helps yourself can and does effect others as well. If you start to act only for the sake of other people’s interest this would be the view of altruism. So you could view things from an egoist standpoint or an altruistic view. As in all things balance is the key. The goal of The Good Life is to examine what is the best balance for your life in each component.
The origin of The Good Life goes right along with the origins of Philosophy itself. In many of Plato’s writings the recurrent theme is the is the search for The Good Life. Socrates discussions show this was a topic of discussion with different ideas that had been talked about even before these early philosophers. Considering what it means to live to live The Good Life in each of its components you could say the origin goes back to the beginning of humanity itself. The earliest humans had to search for the ways to live the best possible life.
So we find there are many ways to define and describe what the good life is. Living the best life possible. Exploring how using pleasure, success, asceticism, freedom, religion, and happiness can lead us to our own personal view of The Good Life. As well as exploring Egoist and Altruistic positions Another way to achieve The Good Life would be Carpe diem! Seize the day! Live in the moment to enjoy yourself rather than worrying about maintaining any big picture ideas. The Good Life is a personal decision everyone has to decide for themselves.

No fluke! Broncos beat the Chargers to stay undefeated.
SAN DIEGO (AP)—Eddie Royal(notes) became the first player in Broncos history to return a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns in the same game, leading undefeated Denver to a wild 34-23 win over the San Diego Chargers on Monday night.
The Broncos didn’t get an offensive touchdown until Kyle Orton(notes) threw a 19-yard pass to tight end Tony Scheffler(notes) late in the third quarter for a 24-23 lead. Denver added a field goal by Matt Prater(notes) and a late 5-yard touchdown catch by Brandon Stokley(notes) that was upheld on review.
This is the fifth time the Broncos have been 6-0, the first since going 13-0 in 1998 en route to winning their second straight Super Bowl behind John Elway. They opened a 3 1/2 -game lead in the AFC West over three-time defending division champion San Diego (2-3).
Denver outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil(notes) had two sacks to extend his NFL lead to 10. His second sack caused Philip Rivers(notes) to fumble, with Vonnie Holliday(notes) recovering to set up Prater’s 29-yard field goal. The Broncos sacked Rivers five times, three in the fourth quarter.
Royal is the 11th player in NFL history to return a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown in a game. He had a 93-yard kickoff return and a 71-yard punt return.
Chargers never stood a chance and they knew it. Bronc’s turn it on in the 2nd half all year. 3 point lead not nearly enough. If the pats couldn’t compete with us, the chargers knew they had nothing. Tomlinson had 70 yards that’s pretty impressive at least :P
Where the Wild Things Are
Seen Where The Wild Things are! :) Just as awesome as I was hoping for :)
Turning a beloved children's book into a film is not a task to be taken lightly. The discount DVD bin is full of adaptations gone wrong (we're looking at you, "The Cat in the Hat"). Fortunately, if critics are to be believed, the makers of "Where the Wild Things Are" have dodged those problems and are releasing something "profoundly beautiful and affecting."
That's how Entertainment Weekly's Lisa Schwarzbaum sums up her thoughts on the highly anticipated Spike Jonze feature. Ms. Schwarzbaum gives the film an "A" and notes that "whatever the (well-documented) struggles it took to create this gem, the result is worth every monster growl."
EW is hardly the only outlet to shovel on the superlatives. Filmcritic.com, a part of AMC, calls the film "absolutely amazing, as scary and beautiful as being a kid all over again." Awarding the movie 5 out of 5 stars, writer Bill Gibron goes on to state that Spike Jonze's adaptation "is an achievement of true artistic wonder and epic imagination."
Famed film critic Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times was a bit more stingy with the praise, but still awarded the film three out of four stars. Quoth the Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist: "The film will play better for older audiences remembering a much-loved book from childhood, and not as well with kids who have been trained on slam-bam action animation."
Mr. Ebert raises an interesting point: Unlike other adaptations like "Curious George," the makers of "Where the Wild Things Are" didn't go the G-rated route. The film's trailer, for example, features a track from alt-rock heavyweights Arcade Fire. And the official soundtrack is handled, for the most part, by Karen O, lead singer for the equally hip Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Web searches on the film are also dominated by young adults. Less than 7% of the searches are from kids 13 and under.
While the film is garnering mostly positive reviews, not everyone is buying into Spike Jonze's vision. The Hollywood Reporter's Kirk Honeycutt calls the film "uninvolving" and notes that "adults are likely to grow weary of the repetitiveness." Another rough notice came from David Denby of The New Yorker, who complains that the monsters are anything but wild. On the contrary, Denby feels they bicker and seem "defeated."
Where the Wild Things Are
Among the film's stars, child actor Max Records is getting positive reviews, as is Catherine Keener, who plays his exasperated mom. James Gandolfini, Lauren Ambrose, and Forest Whitaker lent their vocal talents to the "Wild Things." For the creatures, Jonze originally intended for them to be created using only performers in suits. But the mechanics for moving their facial features were too heavy to support, so they were removed and the Wild Things' expressions were enhanced later by digital effects.
Of course, the movie wouldn't exist if not were not for Maurice Sendak's book. Critics note that the book will continue to stand on its own as an absolute classic, despite the film's likely success.
For more on the creative process that went into translating the book into film, check out this Newsweek interview with Sendak, Jonze, and cowriter Dave Eggers. It wasn't always easy, but the final results look to be well worth the effort. But parents should take note: As one critic puts it, this is a movie about a child, but it's not a children's movie.
Broncos 5-0 !!!!! That’s right !!
That's right!!! Wooooo!!! Broncos undefeated! They just beat the already 1 now 2 loss patriots who were in the top team power rankings. should we still put them up there because they have brady? Can the Broncos's get some respect? :) Lovin ...it! So proud of marshall, orton, and how bout Mc Daniels there at the end celebrating with the fans. That's what I like to see :)
Orton orchestrates game-tying drive as Broncos finish off Patriots in OT
The Broncos just beat New England in overtime and first-year Broncos coach Josh McDaniels led a raucous celebration. McDaniels went near the stands, spurring the fans with wild fist pumping. Then, he jumped into the arms of his players. There's plenty to celebrate.
The Broncos are 5-0 and the NFL’s most compelling story.
After starting 3-0 against weaker competition, Denver overcame deficits to beat Dallas and New England.
The Broncos are for real and their exuberant 33-year-old coach is loving every minute of it.
McD over Belichick as Broncos defeat Pats 20-17
Kyle Orton(notes) threw for 330 yards, Marshall caught two TD passes, and Eddie Royal had 10 receptions for 90 yards. Tom Brady was ok in the first half against the Broncos, but he was fully contained in the second (5-for-14, 63 yards, fumble). Denver's defense clearly needs to be taken seriously. After five weeks, they're allowing only 8.6 points ... Read Moreand 252.8 yards per game.
They said oh it's just the bengals (they are undeafeated except the loss to us) Wait till they play the cowboys, won. Still not real, wait till they play the pats. BLAM! Now wait for the playoffs? Ha! They said we would have a worse record then the raiders? what happened there? What happened to the chargers?
Nope..... Bronc's are for real!!!!!!!! Mc D is for real!!

Denver Broncos Now 4-0
Man i was so sick about hearing all week on how Denver hasn't played anyone, and how the 3-0 record was false. wait until they play the cowboys. Hey a win is a win. We are 4-0! Bring on them pats :)
The Broncos took the lead on Brandon Marshall’s(notes) 51-yard touchdown catch with 1:46 remaining.

District 9 In Theaters Review from SDCC
I want to see it again. I really didn't know what to expect when seeing the world premiere at san diego. This is pretty much the best movie this year. Right up there with my favorites now.
Here's the clip i wrote in my SDCC report
Here's the clip i wrote in my SDCC report
On Thursday night we were lucky enough to be the first to see the world premiere, no hollywood premiere, of District 9. Peter Jackson was there to introduce the first time director Neill Blomkamp and actor Sharlto Copley. I read a article on the way down to the con on how it was the halo movie, it wasn’t but it really was amazing. Best Sci-fi movie i’ve seen in a long time. Has a Little feel of the office/cloverfield/alien nation. It really is great though. I plan to see it again in theaters. I got to meet Elijah Wood and Dominic Monaghan who were there as well for the screening. I told Dominic it would be great to see him on LOST again, and he said you never know. Then later at the LOST Panel he showed up. ha!

G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra Movie Review
Go Joe! :p Headed out to see the film now. :)
Interesting that they wanted to avoid bad reviews so they didn’t show at SDCC or to critics. probably for the best. I’m thinking just a fun mindless summer movie. :)
REVIEW good movie :) I really don’t think they could do any better then what they did. It probably was for the best they avoided the reviews, it would of gotten similar reviews to transformers 2. I liked both films, but i think i like Joe a touch more. A fun film for sure. They did good keeping the action going.
Spoiler’ish talk I had seen the look of cobra commander, so it wasn’t really a let down. I don’t like it, but i can see how it works, hopefully if they do another they will go to the classic hood or helmet. Killing off cover girl was a bit surprising, but again i guess someone has to go. Speaking of, I can’t believe they decided to kill off storm shadow. Sure they could find a excuse to bring him back chemically, or robotic like. I would of preferred to see him escape. Also baroness turning from bad to good. :/ eh. it was done ok, but she’s one of the coolest bad guys. For a sequel they would be without baroness and storm shadow unless the make up some excuse. I thought it was great how much they kept a good amount of characters in the story. I didn’t expect heavy duty and breaker to get as much screen time. Glad they did though. So yeah i thought it was great :)
San Diego Comic Con 2009 Wrap Up Report
I should of made a post before taking off for the con this year, but for some reason again I didn't pack till the last second, and was up till past 2 in the morning trying to make shirts to promote 30rockquotes.net
I was surprised how fast passes sold out this year and I missed out on a 4 day pass and had to buy all days separate. I was hoping they would be nice and just give me the 4 day pass, but no they wanted me to come back everyday and get a pass. They did let me into preview night so at least they didn't take that away.
First thing I did was visit Katie Cook so I could put in my order for art. It really turned out amazing. I got a full fett, and a bunch of mini paintings. Also picked up her sketch books. next I visited Grant Gould. I pre ordered a fett from him that's pretty awesome as well. I visited a couple of other artists. Got a sketch of Guile from one of the street fighter artists. Later in the show i got a fett sketch from the Fillbach Brothers, and a sketch card of fett from John Watkins-Chow. My goal this year was to visit artists and get some cool stuff, They were all very nice, and I'm real happy with what I got :)
On Thursday I spent just under 4 hours dealing with the Hasbro toyshop line. First a line to get a ticket to get in the line at the booth. Then around the booth a couple times before zig zaging toward the counter. Quite a pain, but I got the stuff we were after so it was cool. My little pony, littlest pet shop, muggs, baroness, and destro.
Got the rest of the collectible exclusives I was after as well as the show went on. LOST Ben bobble head, Guile figure, Ghostbusters minimates, and a couple other cool items.
On the floor they had a real nice display of custom mighty muggs (my favorite collectable) that are going to go up for charity soon. Another cool spot was a display of props from across all 5 seasons of LOST. That was one thing i sadly missed getting pics from.
Katie Cook's Custom Wampa. So awesome
One of the biggest highlights of the show for me was meeting Elizabeth Mitchell. She was doing a signing for her new show V. She was really nice. Talked a little LOST. How bummed I was about what happened in the finale. I tried to get a pic, but it ended up very blurry, she offered to take again, but I knew it wouldn't get any better. It was really great to meet her though :)

District 9 star Sharlto Copley, Kevin, and I
Later that night we came across one of the coolest things at the con. Flynn's Arcade. Which was a tron experience to promote the upcoming tron film. We arrived just in time to see them revel the sign. It was at a random building around the corner from our hotel. It was like a 80's arcade with the games to play for free. Blasting 80's music. After about 15 minutes the place started to shake and the back of the arcade opened up to a hall of concept art for the film, and at the end they had one of the light bikes. Got Cool T shirts of flynn's arcade and flynn lives. They had a experience like this for alice in wonderland, but i missed it. we got pics of it though.
Friday was starwars day. I started off trying to get into Where the wild things are panel in H. It was part of the WB panel. Kevin and I were literally the last 2 people they cut off before wild things started. Super Bummed. I went right to the WB booth when the kid, who's name happens to be max just like the character, was doing a limited signing. They weren't taking a line for it, but if you just stood around and ignored them you could slowly work your way when they did open a line. It was nice to get that signing since they weren't giving out anything else wild things the rest of the show. From there i went to The Star Wars Panels the rest of the day. The voice actors one was cool since they did a read through in character of the first scene from the upcoming season. The old republic videogame panel didn't give much info. Sounds like a great game, but when I went up to the front after the panel ended they would give any info at all on a possible release date. The big starwars spectacular in the big hall H was hosted my Kevin and Olivia from G4. It turned out pretty much as i figured with Olivia hassling the guests. The preview for season 2 of the clonewars was great. Mando's woo! You can still see it online.
Saturday everything i did was in panels which made me feel like I was missing something elsewhere. First was LOST which was one of the best panels as usual. Gonna miss that one at the con. Not too many teases for the final season except a couple of videos where Hurley is advertising for Mr clucks saying what good luck he's had since going to Australia, and a Americas most wanted about Kate talking about how she tried to kill her step dad, but killed someone close to her. Sounds like a alt time line. Jorge who plays hurley was in the question line and asked if the bomb did work then all the past 5 seasons were for nothing. The writers replied that he would have to trust them. Emerson who plays Ben them showed up and started playfully insulting Jorge/Hurley. Nestor who plays Richard Alpert was there. The big one was Josh Holloway/Sawyer. He wanted the writers to show the page with the final scene for the audience. Emerson read it and it ended up being a fake heroes script. lol! They also showed a couple of funny fan videos.
I decided to sit through the rest of the panels that day so I wouldn't miss out on Ironman 2. Other panels included Solomon Kane, Zombieland, 2012, and Extract. That one was cool since Bateman was there. He spoke on the upcoming arrested development movie. He said they were writing it, but could take 6 weeks to 18 months to finish :/ Extract looks good too. Mike Judge film with a feel like office space set in a warehouse.
Ironman 2. Glad I waited for it. The place was completely full, and i think those that even showed up for the panel before (2012) didn't get in. I heard some of the people that went into the food area of hall h weren't let back in, and they only went 45 minutes instead of the full hour because of the fire Marshall. Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, and Sam Rockwell attended. At first they showed a cheesy little ironman 2 next summer clip with no footage just the cast training. Downey Jr then demanded more for the people. You could tell it was clips set up just for the con. Pretty cool stuff. A scene with Downey Jr and Sam Jackson. The shot of Mickey Rourke as whiplash was real cool, whipping over and over. They ended it with a scene of Sam Rockwell showing weapons to Don Cheadle asking what he wants, with Cheadle replying "all of it" Then footage of War Machine unloading like crazy. So yeah Cool stuff :P
Last panel of Saturday was Weeds. Jenji Kohan, Justin Kirk, and Hunter Parrish attended. no info, footage, or anything. Still a good panel though. I was a little annoyed how many people at question time said they didn't know Jenji was a lady. Got my badge signed by Hunter Parrish.
Sunday I attended Katie Cook's how to draw star wars panel. It was fun, glad it wasn't full this year. It was last year, and i didn't want to take a seat from a kid. Did final last things on the floor, said bye and thanks to the artists I met.
Our first hotel was the gas lamp Marriott. It wasn't too far away and had a great view into petco park. The padres and marlins just happened to be playing when we got there. Had a cool little rooftop bar too that we visited the first night. On Friday we moved over to the Marriott right next to the convention center. More stars, and the amazing pool. Somehow it seemed further to me even though it was right next to. I guess cause it's opposite Hall H and we ended up in that line a couple times Friday and Saturday. We stayed a extra day this year. So it was nice to be able and enjoy the pool and hotel. Also visited the seaport village on monday before we left for the airport.
Ah Joel won big again this year. A cam corder from 2012. He won a ambassador spot to promote the film. Maybe he will end up with another prize.
So yeah wrote a ton again this year in which i don't count on anyone reading anything, but it will be fun for me to look back on. The con was great fun again this year, and I'm already looking forward to next year. :)

Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition
When the anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is released on November 10, its $150 Prestige Edition will include what's surely the most extravagant bundled bonus ever -- a fully-functioning pair of night-vision goggles.
It'll retail at $150, and considering that even basic night vision goggles easily run over $100 on their own, it actually sounds like a pretty good deal. All the same, as far as we can determine, it's the most expensive retail video game bundle in history, discounting games that came with their own custom controllers.
Impressive. Those night vision goggles could be quite cool.

The press release can be seen below.

Classic adidas Originals track tops and several legendary sneaker styles are represented with characters and scenes from the epic saga in reinterpreted versions.
Expect to see Darth Vader and Stormtrooper graphics on select iconic Originals styles. Other key STAR WARS™ characters and memorable moments from the films will also be represented in innovative, cool ways.
The Spring/Summer STAR WARS™ collection will be introduced at retail beginning January 2010. Select retailers as well as adidas Originals Stores worldwide will carry the collection. The collaboration will also include a Fall/Winter 2010 line with an exciting new assortment of footwear and apparel.
Kinda cool. I liked the ecko collection alot. I have a feeling this line will be a little more simpler logos. not as artistic as the ecko stuff. If they make the shoes in size 14 I'll be all over those :)

Jay-Z - D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)
Hov! Man so crazy good. I was over at nah right and 2 dope when this droped. Like a second after they posted this mp3 already over 200 dl's. 10 minutes later 2500 downloads. Funniest part a few songs after they played this on HOT 97 they were playing some Wayne on that autotune :P
So many quotes
“This isn’t a hit record, its practically assault with a deadly weapon!”
“I know we facing a recession but the music ya’ll making is going to make it a great depression.”
Can't wait for Blueprint 3. Guess it's coming out 9/11
