No fluke! Broncos beat the Chargers to stay undefeated.

SAN DIEGO (AP)—Eddie Royal(notes) became the first player in Broncos history to return a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns in the same game, leading undefeated Denver to a wild 34-23 win over the San Diego Chargers on Monday night.

The Broncos didn’t get an offensive touchdown until Kyle Orton(notes) threw a 19-yard pass to tight end Tony Scheffler(notes) late in the third quarter for a 24-23 lead. Denver added a field goal by Matt Prater(notes) and a late 5-yard touchdown catch by Brandon Stokley(notes) that was upheld on review.

This is the fifth time the Broncos have been 6-0, the first since going 13-0 in 1998 en route to winning their second straight Super Bowl behind John Elway. They opened a 3 1/2 -game lead in the AFC West over three-time defending division champion San Diego (2-3).

Denver outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil(notes) had two sacks to extend his NFL lead to 10. His second sack caused Philip Rivers(notes) to fumble, with Vonnie Holliday(notes) recovering to set up Prater’s 29-yard field goal. The Broncos sacked Rivers five times, three in the fourth quarter.

Royal is the 11th player in NFL history to return a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown in a game. He had a 93-yard kickoff return and a 71-yard punt return.

Chargers never stood a chance and they knew it. Bronc’s turn it on in the 2nd half all year. 3 point lead not nearly enough. If the pats couldn’t compete with us, the chargers knew they had nothing. Tomlinson had 70 yards that’s pretty impressive at least :P

Can the Broncos's get some respect? :) Lovin ...it! So proud of marshall, orton, and how bout Mc Daniels there at the end celebrating with the fans. That's what I like to see :)

The Broncos just beat New England in overtime and first-year Broncos coach Josh McDaniels led a raucous celebration. McDaniels went near the stands, spurring the fans with wild fist pumping. Then, he jumped into the arms of his players. There's plenty to celebrate.

After starting 3-0 against weaker competition, Denver overcame deficits to beat Dallas and New England.

McD over Belichick as Broncos defeat Pats 20-17

Kyle Orton(notes) threw for 330 yards, Marshall caught two TD passes, and Eddie Royal had 10 receptions for 90 yards. Man i was so sick about hearing all week on how Denver hasn't played anyone, and how the 3-0 record was false. wait until they play the cowboys. Hey a win is a win. We are 4-0! Bring on them pats :)

Can't argue with the Best blocking TE in the draft. Sounds great.

Brandstater was a interesting pick. I still see Orton starting(and play well) this season.

Pretty good draft overall. I'm excited to see what happens this season. For better or worse things are way different in Denver. :)

Cutler to Bears. Broncos get Kyle Orton

Jay Cutler got his wish Thursday: a ticket out of Denver. And the Chicago Bears have a franchise quarterback for the first time in decades. The Broncos get quarterback Kyle Orton in return, along with two first-round draft picks and a third-rounder. The Broncos get the Bears’ top pick in this year’s draft, which is No. 18 overall, and Chicago’s first-round draft pick in 2010, along with a third-round selection this year (No. 84 overall). Denver also gave up a fifth-rounder this year.

Then Cutler says

"I really didn't want this. I love Denver. I really like my teammates. I didn't want it to get this far."

Ugh. Crazy. Yeah right on that cutler quote. He made it clear he didn't want to be there. Shame too. I think we could of done very well with him this year. Kyle Orton? Yikes.... :/ I hope we end up with someone else starting this year. He’s ok as a 2nd string. I think we could of got something more for him. Hopefully we do something good with the picks.

Fed-up Broncos ready to trade Cutler

After numerous failed attempts to open a line of communication in recent days, the Denver Broncos have decided to pursue trading disgruntled quarterback Jay Cutler.

Several league personnel sources confirmed to Yahoo! Sports that at least six teams are expected to be seriously involved in trade talks: the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns. The Jacksonville Jaguars have also shown interest, while the Minnesota Vikings actually pulled the plug on trade negotiations for Cutler back in February.

Well I'm a little disappointed in Cutler for not working this out. I think he's a good QB and it's too bad to see him go. Looked like things were going to be good for the broncs next year. Well it still can be. I'm excited about having Brian dawkins lead the D this year. I hope we get something good for Cutler. Although getting the #1 pick for Detroit would be a good deal. I'm not so sure about Stafford or Sanchez.
