Star Wars The Old Republic Conquests Despair's 5th Conquest in 6 weeks

Despair has been moving through conquests pretty well. Our 5th victory in 6 weeks. We conquered 4 in a row before taking a off week. Along the way I made little collage pics that I've been sharing on instagram  It's been awhile since I made a post so thought i'd throw these up.

Speaking of. With the new Tv season here I've been talking my daughter about writing tv reviews. She's interested in becoming a writer and possibly involved in entertainment so these should be a good start. So far she's reviewing Gotham, Shield, and Red band society. We've set up a blog site of her own but i'll be posting those over here as well.

Anyways. I haven't got around to taking screens of the Tat house. It's getting close to done. Around 90% Still need a big starship, I was really trying to get the sandcrawler out of the last packs, still need to pick up the cantina set for a room I've set aside. Figure should post those up sometime in the next month but for now here are the collage conquest pics.

Week 1 - Voss

Week 2 - Corellia

Week 3 - CZ-198

Week 4 - Tatooine

Week 6 - Balmorra (Empire)

On to the next one. :)

Gotham Pilot TV Review

Hello everybody! Tonight was pretty epic. Gotham's first episode premiered and I loved it! Sadly because my local TV station sucks I missed the first couple minutes! Anyway when the show finally came on it was like- BAM! Bruce's (Young Batman is cute, right?) parents are dead which is something everybody has seen but we get to see the aftermath. Which includes Selina Kyle AKA Cat-woman witnessing Thomas and Martha Wayne 's death. Then we see Gotham's police station which like the city itself is very dark. Enter rookie James Gordon who ends up taking down a psycho while all the other fellow cops watch.

Gordon's corrupt partner Harvey Bullock congratulates him by taking him down to the Wayne's crime scene. There, Bruce meets James and they bond over their parents, then Alfred (who seems colder then Micheal Caine's version) comes to somewhat comfort Bruce. Bullock asks for another partner but Captain Essen says Gordon is a war hero and declines. James ignores Harvey's attempt to get him to transfer to a different station. "This is where the action is, you'll get used to me."  As you can see they are off to a great relationship.

Cut to loud soundtrack while taking down thugs. We get a call from Edward Nigma (AKA The Riddler before craziness happened) who is currently working in the department. Harvey remarks about how Edward is in need of professional help, how ironic! Finally we meet Fish Mooney and can I just say- I love her red tips. Adds to the whole controlling attitude very well. Who else loved Oswald Cobblepot as her assistant? I mean now that I'm thinking about it nobody besides the Penguin would be perfect for a job like that. His resume'=Umbrella holder. Harvey and Fish have a past you could say. James is on edge. Later Barbara (James's fiance) helps him out. Bullock finds out Mario Pepper is a suspect for the Wayne case. And guess who his daughter is?!?! Ivy! Young Ivy Pepper everybody. Obviously Mario is reluctant and ends up in a shootout with Gordon. Which eventually ends up in a chase that leads to Bullock shooting Mario Pepper.

Back at the station Gordon is getting bandaged up when they find Mrs.Wayne's pearl necklace. Everybody in the station is overjoyed. Penguin sees the papers that Pepper was shot. Then he get's into MCU's car. He tells Renee and her partner that Fish framed Mooney not too long after meeting Gordon and Bullock. Later, we see Bruce at his parents funeral as well as Selina watching him from a distance all cat-like. Renee from MCU goes to visit Barbara to tell her James might be hiding something and that she is better off without him. When Barbara disagrees, Renee reminds her of her secrets. She then confronts James he goes to confront Renee. Who tells him Mr.Pepper was framed. Gordon speaks with Mrs.Pepper to find evidence.

We learn that Mooney is working for a man named Falcone. Bullock tells him to back off Fish. But Gordon goes anyway, where he gets knocked out. A worried Barbara goes to see Harvey. He then finds Gordon being held by Mooney's guys and threatens Fish. Penguin deception is discovered and Fish fights him and kicks him out. When Harvey and James are about to be killed, Falcone shoots Mooney's guys. Turns out he has the "no killing police" rule. Gordon knows Falcone has connections. "You can't have organized crime without order."

A little while later James and Harvey drive to the docks where a beat-up Penguin is in the trunk. Bullock tells Harvey that he has to take the snitch out. James walks Oswald to the end of the docks, pretends to shoot him then pushes him in the ocean still breathing. James then goes to Wayne Manner. Bruce is on the roof conquering his fears. Gordon informs him that Pepper was framed by the police and the mob but asks for another chance to find the killer. Bruce accepts. As Harvey leaves we see Selina once again looking over Wayne Manner. Penguin leaps out of the water alive who then proceeds to start going crazy.

Next Monday's episode we see Penguin leaves Gotham to prepare for a fight, Bruce still conquering his fears, and Mooney continues to be a threat. I am looking forward to it. Hope you liked my recap/review of Gotham's pilot!

Red Band Society Pilot

So last night I was on YouTube and saw the commercial for Red Band Society, advertising works! Who knew? Anyway onto my view point of  the RBS pilot. First off, I loved how Charlie our narrator is actually a coma patient. Also i'm going to have to see if pizza really does help comas, I have a feeling it could work! Plus I have a couple theories about the dad/volunteer dude and Charlie's accident so hopefully we learn more about that soon.

Kara the cheerleader definitely has layers of skin to be removed. Drugs, smoking, and alcohol equals your typical "cray-cray" teenager. The girl who has no heart finally needs one to survive, very touching indeed. Making Kara realize she actually has to care about people other than herself. Her relationship with Nurse Jackson (Octavia Spencer!) is very humorous  as well especially when she does her specific lunch order.

Jordi. Hmm very brave having the "balls" to find Dr. McAndrew with the cancer in his right leg and all. Leo and Emma have interesting history but stopped to due too much stress. Considering the touching dance moment near the end I suspect some Jordi and Emma love in the future. Honestly Emma is my favorite character right now, I love her humor! Jordi: "Your seriously twisted." Emma: "Not everyone appreciates it." Some inspiring words from Ruben and the leg goodbye party is on. Dash using Twilight as a pick up line on Nurse Dobler that was awkwardly hilarious especially because she has a boyfriend and a dog to get back to. And who could forget buying beer in Spanish! Later on, I love how Reuben, the doc, and Nurse Jackson converse about the roof party. Charlie's father finding out "none of this was your part" from Kara was cool.

The title Red Band Society is very sweet, each red bracelet represents different times Leo was in the hospital. My favorite line of the whole of the episode is *drum roll*  "Your body isn't you. Your soul is you and they can never cut into your soul." which was Leo comforting Jordi about his upcoming leg surgery. Next week's preview showed what looked like a lot of mini clips from future episodes. No real spoilers on next Wednesday's episode but i'm still looking forward to next week's Red Band Society. Check out their twitter page and see all the hype! Til' next week, later!

Despair Conquests, Strongholds, and a few other Star Wars The Old Republic pics

Been awhile since I posted. I had planned a post on sdcc and other stuff but eh, maybe at some point. Anyways here's a few shots from swtor from the past couple of weeks.

A early version of my Tat Balcony. Before I ran into the npc prob. Such a bummer you can't place more pets and companions. And the companions as holo's are pretty weak. They don't even show current outfit, just original outfit. :/

Tenenbaum talking about Forged Alliances. Darth Arkous is pacing the background and he looks like he's photo bombing. :)

Zissou on the little mini hutt throne. This s closer to what it looks like now. I have a few more parts up there since this shot.

Week 1 of conquests Despair Conquered the planet of Voss.

Week 2 we conquered Corellia. Thanks in big part to all the GSF pilots we have in the guild.

And lastly a couple Tenenbaun and Despair group shots on the planet of Corellia. Our newest conquest.
